Small Studio recently completed the design and development for Advanced Publishing Systems new website.

The whole site was developed in Silverstripe, an off the shelf, super user friendly CMS — We were surprised to discover the client updating the site before we'd even conducted the training session!

Music Soothes The Savage Beast

Small Studio was approached to make a flash presentation for a clients annual staff conference. One of the requirements of the brief was the creation of a jingle to be played at the start of the presentation. It had to be short, catchy and inspirational. Writing a corporate jingle was something none of us had even contemplated before, so we put our heads together, got our inspiration on and stayed back one night to make it happen. The result is 30 seconds of pure gold.

Covers Stars

One of our friendly clients, Blackwell Publishing, often commissions Small Studio to produce covers for the stable of industry journals it publishes. These are an interesting opportunity to flex our creative print muscle in an area often neglected by designers (journals you see, don't fight for shelf space like their glamorous cousins in periodicity, magazines, often missing out on the dressing up they deserve). Today we'll take a look at the development process behind our most recent cover for the Australian Accounting Review, showing some failed prototypes, the path to the final design, and how we made accounting look exciting.

OceanaGold Website

By far the largest project undertaken by Small Studio thus far, we tackled the task of building a website for an international corporation (Complete with a Content Management System, Live stock market updates and Rich Media integration) with gusto, vigour and more than the odd late night staring blearily at the computer screen.

Small recently completed a corporate ID and web design project for Queensland based corporate events speaker Mia Munro.

First Off The Bike website

Recognising a need for online editorial in the world of Triathlon, The First Off The Bike crew approached Small Studio to create an attractive, usable and easily to update site that would draw visitors and generate revenue.

Salesguide.com.au aggregates retail sales information from around the country into one convenient location, and the owners realised a great idea like this needs great presentation. The result is a website that's pleasing to the eye but still screams SALE!

Comfortel Website

Ever wondered who sells those shampoo chairs to hairdressing salons? Chances are if you've had a perm or a pedicure you've done so sitting on a chair distributed by Comfortel. Comfortel required their site to be redesigned in line with the look of its 2007 catalogue, and were after an upward nudge on the search rankings, and Small Studio were only too happy to deliver.

Reseo Website

Our good friends at Reseo required a website to promote their SEO services. Small Studio designed a smart, modern looking site that embodies the techniques the company practices. To complete the effect, we art directed a flattering photo shoot of the guys doing their thing in their funky Fitzroy digs.
